CHRISTMAS GIVING.. GOING LOCAL

So this year we've decided to go local for our Christmas gifts.. so our gifts give in more ways than one. We'd like to keep our gifts under 30$ so that they are affordable for everyone but we're not limited to that price. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions? We feel it's important to support local businesses and keep our communities thriving. We'd like to ensure that local businesses through out the whole province are covered so we'd love to hear your ideas. Please leave a comment, email or tweet us your suggestions. You can also let us know if you have any plans to go local too...
Thanks!!

  1. Great idea! Here are some of my favorite local products:
Liquid Gold, Van Dyks Blueberry Juice, Seafoam Lavender Farm, Nova Scotia Fisherman (best lip balm ever!) and I just bought season one of Hope for Wildlife for my in-laws. All of the above can be found on google :)
Plus, you can check out my website - I photograph Nova Scotia and sell the prints. :)

Good luck with your shopping! I hope more and more people shop local this holiday season.

  2. Awesome! Thank you so much for the ideas. I've heard nothing but good things about Nova Scotia Fisherman's lip balm especially in the winter time. I'll pass along the ideas to the others. Your photos are beautiful and I absolutely love your abstract photos. Thanks again for the comment:)

  3. If you have any kids on your list you should check out Growth Spurts consignment store (Cunard St across from Olympic Gardens) she has clothes + shoes for 0-6 yrs, toys, maternity clothes and baby stuff. She also has a store in Bedford. Speaking of Olympic Gardens - don't miss the local crafters market over there. I also love Woozles, Bookmark and Atlantic News and everyone loves reading.

  4. There is nothing better than delicious local food to celebrate the Holiday season with and we are so fortunate to have an abundance of it in this wonderful province! We are a small business located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley that take all the delicious ingredients that our local farmers produce and transform them into savoury pies and quiches. We have a wide range of different products and some especially made for the Holiday season. We think this is a great way to support local!

You can find us at the Wolfville Farmer's Market every Saturday or feel free to give us a call for any special orders.
